Willis Re Australia Chairman Michael Harden has been appointed CEO of the reinsurance broker’s Bermuda operation.

He will take the reins at Willis Re Bermuda from January 1 as it looks to expand its business on the island.

“My focus will be to further enhance Willis Re’s profile… and build upon the team’s current success,” he said.

Mr Harden will remain non-executive Chairman of Willis Re Australia. He was appointed CEO of the Australian arm in 2007 and became chairman earlier this year.
