GIO set to switch ad account
Suncorp subsidiary GIO is in final negotiations to shift its $16 million advertising account from Belgiovane Williams McKay (BWM) to Leo Burnett, according to ad industry publication AdNews.
BWM has held the account since 2004, when Suncorp first allowed GIO to go its own way and appoint its own advertising agency. The total Suncorp advertising account at that time was worth $60 million.
The GIO move is the latest in a series of account reviews since the appointment a few months ago of John Moore as Group Marketing Manager for Suncorp’s personal insurance lines.
