Gen Re has appointed Pietro Toffanello as MD Australia and Property/Casualty Manager of the Asia-Pacific region.

He replaces Chris Crowder, who will leave Australia in a few weeks to become Senior VP and Head of Global Property Facultative business at Gen Re’s headquarters in Stanford, Connecticut.

Mr Toffanello is moving to Sydney from London. He has worked for Gen Re since 1994 and is currently Property Facultative Regional Manager for EMEA, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
