Gardian Insurance Services, based in Mackay, Queensland, will join Insurance Brokers Network Australia (IBNA) on December 8.

Gardian Insurance, which is at present a corporate authorised representative of Perth-based Westcourt General Insurance Brokers, is part of a diversified group owned by insurance broker Luke Phillips. 

The company employs 40 people and comprises four businesses: mortgage broking, a financial planning, real estate and the general insurance business.

With insurance clients in Brisbane, Mackay, Cairns and the Whitsundays, Mr Phillips has plans to expand Gardian’s authorised representative network in north Queensland.

“The insurance business has plenty of potential for growth and I believe IBNA provides me with a better option for growth,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
