Gallagher rubbishes talk of restructure

Arthur J Gallagher has moved to quash rumours of a significant restructure in its Australian operations.

A source close to the company told insuranceNEWS.com.au a note was sent to all staff by CEO Andrew Godden last week outlining plans for a restructure of all broking staff, and warning some branch closures may occur.

However, a spokesman for the company says while 17 roles will be affected by recent changes, there will be no restructuring of the business and no branches are under threat.

He says most of the roles will be redeployed elsewhere within the business, but a “small number” of staff will be made redundant.

He declined to comment on details of the changes, or the reasons for them.
