Gallagher retires OAMPS brand

OAMPS Insurance Brokers has been rebranded as Arthur J Gallagher, as the integration of the businesses continues.

Gallagher bought OAMPS from Wesfarmers as part of a $1.01 billion deal in June.

The OAMPS name will not be used from today, but Gallagher says there will be no impact on clients.

Gallagher Australasia CEO Andrew Godden told insuranceNEWS.com.au there is still back-office work to complete.

“There is work to be done in terms of systems, but the aim over the weekend was to get the external-facing business operating as one, and we’re up and running,” he said.

He says a review of the former OAMPS business is ongoing but no fundamental changes have been made.

“We have kept clients fully informed about what we are doing and why.”

The Arthur J Gallagher brand now covers almost 30 branches in Australia, with about 1000 people servicing more than 120,000 clients.

Mr Godden says the Australian operation is supported by Gallagher’s “international scale and insurance markets”.
