Gallagher has extended its reach into Victoria’s Surf Coast with the acquisition of Torquay-based National Insurance Group.

The deal brings “significant opportunities to grow with local businesses in that region,” Gallagher said.

“The business has a strong record of growth on the back of excellent relationship building and a focus on client experience.”

The brokerage, founded in 2015 by Chris Park, has a broad range of Victorian clients and also operates in Tasmania.

The business will use the Gallagher brand and the Torquay office will become one of Gallagher’s more than 30 branches across Australia. The Tasmanian team will work from the existing Gallagher branch in Launceston.
