Gallagher buys NZ brokerage
US broker Arthur J Gallagher (AJG) has acquired Auckland-based Mike Henry Insurance Brokers (MHIB) for an undisclosed sum.
Mike Henry has 30 staff in offices in Auckland and Christchurch, with annual revenue of about $US4.5 million ($4.84 million).
“MHIB’s culture and strong niche expertise are aligned with our growth strategy, and it will be an excellent complement to our Asia-Pacific operations,” Gallagher Chairman, President and CEO Pat Gallagher said.
AJG has operations in 25 countries and offers client services in more than 140.
The move was announced late last week as AJG finalised the purchase of Wesfarmers’ broking and premium funding business.
