Gallagher Bassett steps up virus response with new hiring plans

Gallagher Bassett has embarked on a recruitment drive for experienced staff in response to the growing demand from insurance clients for support services during the pandemic crisis.

The third-party claims administrator is looking for customer service representatives, phone-based customer representatives and claims consultants.

“Our expansion of our general insurance operation will support our clients to navigate these challenging times with confidence,” EVP International Jon Winsbury said.

Gallagher Bassett says its insurance clients are dealing with an influx of claims as a result of the pandemic, last summer’s bushfires and hailstorms.

The company is also building its collection of articles and guides for its recently launched online coronavirus resource centre and hosting virtual workshops to help clients mitigate risk and manage claims in the event of a significant outbreak.
