Gallagher Bassett ramps up coronavirus response
Gallagher Bassett has engaged its business continuity team to ensure claims can be handled as needed during the coronavirus outbreak, and has established a global taskforce comprising experts across major injury exposures.
The company has expanded divisions in accident and health and injury management services, and says it is assisting insurers to manage a large volume of travel claims. It’s also working directly with employers to ensure they have appropriate injury management capabilities in place.
“With more cases appearing globally and concern growing daily, we stand ready to help our clients and partners navigate these challenging times with confidence,” CEO Australia John McNamara said.
The new taskforce is responsible for overseeing the situation, ensuring changing protocols are effectively put in place and adhered to, and will provide any necessary technical oversight on individual claims as the situation evolves.
Gallagher Basset has also launched an online coronavirus resource centre, which is available here.
