Gain joins Marsh SME network
SME broker Marsh Advantage Insurance has added Melbourne-based Gain Insurance Group as an authorised representative.
Gain has terminated its 15-year relationship with Insurance Advisernet Australia (IAA) and its associated partnership with Austbrokers.
“A new lease of life is now being presented at Marsh,” Gain Managing Principal Tamer Avsar told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
He and four other Gain staff are now based at the Marsh Advantage Insurance head office in Melbourne.
“That’s where the opportunities, I believe, are going to lie going forward with the sort of accounts we’re going after,” he said.
Mr Avsar says the decision to part with IAA was not easy, but while he has “truly appreciated” IAA’s guidance and friendship, Marsh Advantage Insurance offers more opportunities, systems and benefits.
Marsh Advantage Insurance Executive Director Travis Kemp says the addition of Gain is an important milestone.
“Gain Insurance is the first of the ‘super-producers’ to come on board under our core strategy to identify and attract broking teams that are aligned to our brand and growth objectives, and that can bring an established client portfolio,” he said.
Marsh Advantage Insurance was launched last year with 60 authorised representatives. It aims to double this number.
Gain will continue to target clients in food services, construction, civil contracting, transport and logistics, warehousing and commercial property.
