Former EQC board chair takes up lead role at AIG New Zealand

Mary-Jane Daly has commenced as AIG New Zealand’s new Chair last week, taking over from Craig Stobo who is retiring after more than 10 years in the role.

She was most recently Board Chair at the Earthquake Commission (EQC) and takes up the AIG appointment after her EQC term ended last month.

“[She] is an experienced governance professional with a strong background in insurance, banking and finance in New Zealand and in the UK,” AIG New Zealand CEO Toni Ferrier said.

“We are thrilled she has agreed to help lead our business through its next exciting chapter.”

Ms Daly is also a director at Kiwibank, Fonterra Shareholders Funds and Kiwi Property Groups, and has held similar roles in the past at Cigna Life Insurance and OnePath Life.
