Former eBay boss joins IAG board
IAG has appointed e-commerce specialist Alison Deans to its board as a non-executive director.
Ms Deans is currently CEO of Netus, a company that invests in online consumer businesses.
The former McKinsey consultant established eBay in Australia and New Zealand, and has also served as CEO of IT company eCorp and as interim CEO of Hoyts Corporation.
She brings an “enormous wealth” of experience in the digital economy, IAG Chairman Brian Schwartz says.
“This combined with her broader strategy and general business experience… will make Alison a valuable addition to the board,” he said.
Ms Deans will take up her position from February 1, filling the vacancy left by the retirement of Phillip Colebatch in September.
