TravelCard says former CFO Daniel Taback has returned ahead of the insurer’s resumption of business in the second quarter.

“[He] brings a wealth of travel insurance experience from his time at both The Hollard Insurance Company and Cover-More Group. It's good to have you back,” TravelCard says in a brief announcement on LinkedIn.

As reported previously TravelCard plans to resume travel insurance sales after the business entered exclusive negotiations for an underwriting arrangement with Guild Insurance.

The business has been in “hibernation” since October 2020 in response to the pandemic, with activities restricted to servicing in-force policies and claims.

CEO Peter Klent said there will be a soft launch for TravelCard at the Steadfast Convention next month. The March 26-28 Steadfast event in Perth is the largest general insurance conference in Australia.
