Finity forms strategic partnership with NIWA
Finity has partnered with New Zealand’s National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) to help deliver insights on water perils within New Zealand and the wider Pacific region.
The actuarial firm says the collaboration will help utilise NIWA’s data and climate expertise to improve the quality of its research on risks such as coastal inundation, flooding, and land slippage.
Finity Climate and Sustainability Principal Rade Musulin says the partnership aims to provide “a new and impressive array of technical skills, data and climate science in one place”.
“Finity can translate this data to ensure our insurance sector clients are informed and empowered to make decisions about their products and services,” Mr Musulin said.
“We look forward to ongoing innovation and developing many more applications for NIWA’s science to secure the best outcomes for consumers of insurance services.”
