Actuarial consultant Finity has appointed Scott Collings as MD.

Mr Collings has been acting in the role since October 2014, and has been a member of Finity’s executive team since 1996.

He told insuranceNEWS.com.au his key focus is maintaining client service. 

“Finity has been recognised for its exceptional client service with numerous awards over the past decade,” he said. “My aim will be to keep the bar set very high.”

Chairman Colin Brigstock says Mr Collings leads Finity into “an exciting period” as it expands into Big Data and analytics.

Mr Collings says Big Data offers businesses “a way to re-engineer and optimise their business models”.

He takes over from Estelle Pearson who has stepped down following her year as president of the Actuaries Institute. Ms Pearson will now focus on client work and development of new initiatives at Finity.

“Estelle has led the firm with distinction for the past eight years and, on behalf of Finity, I thank her for her dedication and achievements in this role,” Mr Brigstock said.
