Experienced trio launch broker for ‘new era’

John Paul Whitbread has launched a brokerage called Domo Insurance with Will Dunn and Eliza White, in a move they say “aims to disrupt the insurance industry”.

Mr Whitbread will serve as chair. He previously held roles at Zurich and Lloyd’s, before taking over as CEO at family firm Whitbread Insurance Brokers and selling it to Steadfast in 2017 for $95 million.

Mr Dunn will be Domo’s CEO after returning from gardening leave and work in the Asia market. His experience includes time at QBE as a senior property underwriter in Asia and as CEO at Singapore-based Talbot Risk Services.

Ms White will be COO. She joins after four years at Honan, where she held positions across the Australian and Asian operations.

Mr Dunn says the launch represents a “new era in insurance”, with the business looking to utilise “game-changing tech solutions” and the experience of its leadership team.

“We will deliver unparalleled service and peace of mind to our clients,” Mr Dunn said. “With Domo, insurance is streamlined, intuitive and tailored to our clients’ needs.”

Domo says it will deliver a comprehensive suite of insurance products, including property and casualty, construction, personal clients and specialty lines.
