Senior VP Paul Muller has left Arch Insurance following the completion of its integration with Resource Underwriting.

Mr Muller was previously the owner and MD of Resource, which was acquired by Arch in November. He has described his departure from the company as “a great opportunity being lost”.

Dominic Brannigan has been appointed Regional Manager and now leads the Australian operations.

“Paul left Arch as of last Friday after fulfilling his role of steward during the 12-month integration,” Mr Brannigan told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“The plan going forward is very much a growth story. It is a case of bedding down and growing what we have purchased, particularly in terms of the indemnity business.

“It is [a good] market for acquisitions, but I am not aware of anything else on the horizon.”

Mr Brannigan says the integration was completed with minimal staffing changes.

Mr Muller referred to his departure on his LinkedIn page.

“My short association with Arch Australia has sadly come to an end, with a great opportunity being lost and in the current market one can only ponder what could have been,” he said.

“The future is full of options and while I am considering several, I am keen to stay involved with this wonderful (yet frustrating) industry.”
