Ex-Lloyd's director to replace Townsend at AIG

Jon Hancock has been named AIG’s new CEO International General Insurance, replacing Chris Townsend whose departure was announced earlier this year.

Mr Hancock most recently served as Director of Performance Management at Lloyd’s, before leaving in January. Prior to that he held various senior roles at RSA.

He will join AIG in the next couple of months and report to President and Global CEO Peter Zaffino.

As insuranceNEWS.com.au has reported, Mr Townsend’s exit was swiftly followed by that of Asia Pacific CEO Sachin Shah.

Prior to that long-serving Australia CEO Noel Condon was replaced by Fairfax Financial executive Nigel Fitzgerald.
