Here Technologies has appointed Jon Calverley as Insurance Industry Specialist.

The former JLT Re director is responsible for the Oceania region, where he will demonstrate how Here’s location data could be used to develop insurance policies.

Amsterdam-based Here Technologies is majority-owned by Germany’s three largest car companies and provides mapping and location data and related services to individuals and companies.

Mr Calverley says the number of insurers and brokers looking to technology and data to enrich their customer experience “is staggering”.

“The wide breadth of products and services Here Technologies delivers has the capacity to provide innovative solutions across a number of insurance practices.”

Mr Calverley was MD at broker Cooper Gay until he joined JLT Re in 2015. He then formed Fando Group, a specialist insurance brokerage providing wholesale and direct insurance placement solutions in Australia and New Zealand.
