Ex-IAG exec joins Suncorp board

Suncorp has appointed former IAG executive Christine McLoughlin as a non-executive director, effective from February.

“Christine has deep experience in strategy, communications, government and regulatory affairs, human resources and commercial law,” Chairman Ziggy Switkowski said.

“With this background, [she] will provide a very important contribution to the Suncorp board and help ensure Suncorp’s continued success in the future.”

Ms McLoughlin is also a non-executive director at Nib Holdings, where she chairs the people and remuneration committee and is a member of the risk committee.

She was IAG’s head of group executive strategy, human resources and communications from 2005 to 2008. She has also held senior roles with AMP and Optus after beginning her career as a commercial lawyer with Allen, Allen & Hemsley in Sydney.

Her directorship experience covers financial services, health, mining, infrastructure and non-profit industries.
