Hollard Australia Group has appointed former Bankwest EGM retail Mark Reid as CEO of its financial services holding company Greenstone.

Mr Reid will lead the business as it embarks on an expansion phase.

Greenstone is the holding and distribution company for Hollard Financial Services, which includes the life insurance business, Hollard Administration Services and comparison website Choosi.

Mr Reid is a career banker who has also led Perth-based Bankwest’s business and private banking operations.

Before joining the bank in 2002 he was a sales and distribution executive for British banking and insurance company HBOS.

Hollard Australia Group founder and CEO Richard Enthoven says Mr Reid’s background will help Greenstone’s expansion plans.

“Greenstone is a leading distribution business and Mark has a fantastic record of building financial services distribution capabilities,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.

“Greenstone is entering an exciting growth phase and we will have a number of announcements over the next three months. We intend to build on Greenstone’s distribution capability more broadly in the financial services market and Mark’s experience will be invaluable.”

Mr Reid began his new job, based in Sydney, this week.
