Online agency eSentry Underwriting has opened an office in Melbourne, with Tony Spall taking the role of business development manager for Victoria.

Mr Spall has an underwriting and broking background with experience in construction, most recently at OAMPS, where he worked for the past 10 years.

eSentry has its head office in Sydney and specialises in construction, contract works, owner-builder construction and public liability. Its construction and liability products are underwritten by partner Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance.

Its online system allows brokers to administer and transact insurance for the life cycle of policies, including quotations, policy placement, policy endorsements, extensions, renewal and adjustments.

Director Adrian Martin says the company plans to open regional offices across Australia to better service brokers, 1500 of which use eSentry for their contract works business.

“By having local representation we believe this will only improve our overall presence and our future capability,” he told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
