Envest moves PSC leaders into top roles

Envest has appointed PSC Insurance Group executives to key roles in the expanded company following parent Ardonagh’s acquisition of the Melbourne-based distribution business.

CEO Greg Mullins says the combined organisation will be “the legitimate challenger in the insurance industry”.

“We are very excited to announce that many of the PSC leaders will be joining the Envest Group, helping to bring our teams and resources together,” he said. “We will be broadly organising our business across three pillars – networks, broking and agencies.”

As reported in a Breaking News bulletin last week, PSC MD Tony Robinson will move into a non-executive director role on the Envest board, and chairman Paul Dwyer joins the Ardonagh Group senior management team. PSC Australia and New Zealand CEO David Hosking will depart the combined group at the end of the month.

The Envest executive team will be expanded to include PSC Insurance Brokers CEO Ben Goodall and general counsel Julia Mitchell, who will work alongside chief risk officer Simon Gray.

PSC Insurance Brokers will operate alongside Aviso Group as part of Envest Broking and Mr Goodall joins the executive team alongside Aviso CEO Travis Kemp.

Craig Robson has been appointed CEO of Envest Networks, which will include Resilium and PSC Network Partners, with Tony Walker becoming chairman and continuing to lead PSC networks (Connect and Reliance Partners) and New Zealand businesses day to day.

PSC’s underwriting agencies – Chase, Breeze, Medisure, Insure4less, GoSafe and Travel Insuranz – will continue to report to PSC specialty CEO Adam Burgess and operate alongside Envest’s direct and intermediated agency brands led by agency CEO Richard Heilig.

The changes were announced at the Envest Broking conference in Canberra, which brought together the Resilium and Aviso broking brands and included special guests from PSC.
