Envest appoints CIO, positions for further growth
Ardonagh-acquired Envest Group has appointed David Ball as Chief Investment Officer and restructured its leadership team as it plans the next chapter of its growth plan.
Mr Ball, who was previously Macquarie Group Business and Corporate Banking national head of insurance, starts today with Envest, which has a focus on broking, underwriting agencies and other insurance-related investments.
“This appointment is a continuation of our focus on acquiring talented people who align with our entrepreneurial, high-performing culture,” CEO Greg Mullins said. “It’s a central pillar of our strategy, both in our M&A activity and our operations to date.”
Mr Mullins says Envest is positioning for double-digit growth in the next two years and has a team of experienced insurance professionals.
The management team also includes COO Richard Heilig, Chief Distribution Officer Craig Robson, Head of People Sarah Grant, CFO Elizabeth Walker and Chief Legal and Risk Officer Angela Martin.
Mr Ball will work closely with Mr Robson and Mr Heilig, who will continue to lead the broking and agency businesses respectively.
Ardonagh last month completed its acquisition of Envest, which includes the Aviso Group broking network, as it continues to build its presence in the Australian market. The deal was announced in November last year.
The UK-based group’s other local interests include Resilium Insurance Broking and Epsilon Underwriting.
