Underwriting agency Ensurance announced today MD Tom Kent will become CEO on January 1 while Executive Chairman Tony Leibowitz will revert to a non-executive role.

Mr Kent was previously managing director of TK Specialty Risks, which Ensurance acquired in May. The business rebranded as Ensurance Australia with Mr Kent remaining as MD.

“[Mr Kent] has many years of experience in the insurance industry and is well-placed to take the company forward,” Mr. Leibowitz said.

“[He], in combination with our Ensurance UK CEO, Tim James, will work collaboratively to ensure the company continues its expansion plans and to deliver shareholder value.”

Mr Kent has worked in the insurance industry locally and globally since 2004. Before establishing TK Specialty Risks in 2015, he was the professional and financial lines manager for Axis Specialty Australia in SA.
