Industry figure Roy Ellis is standing aside from his full-time role as Australis Underwriting Group CEO following the “successful completion of his re-engineering the business”.

Australis, which is owned by brokers Arthur J Gallagher, said in a statement that Mr Ellis will continue to work for the company as a consultant handling strategic and marketing functions.

His other responsibilities have been taken up by GM Underwriting Tony Thrift and GM Operations Gary Marshall.
