Elders posts a healthy result

The largest rural insurance provider in Australia, Elders Insurance, has posted healthy results for the first half of this year. Parent company Futuris says Elders achieved gross written premium of $194.4 million – 6% higher than the 2004 first-half figure of $184.1 million.

Elders earned a further $4.6 million investment interest from its insurance operations compared with $3.4 million in the 2004 first half.
