Melbourne-based Edgewise Insurance Brokers has appointed Luke Hueston as its new CEO.   

Mr Hueston joins the firm from Master Builders Insurance Brokers, where he served six years as CEO and also as state manager of its NSW and Victorian operations. Overall, he has more than two decades of insurance industry experience.   

“Luke is passionate about building strong culture-based teams and placing the customer at the centre of everything he does, which makes Edgewise an excellent fit given its long history of driving excellent customer outcomes,” Edgewise wrote in a LinkedIn announcement.  

Mr Hueston will take over from Richard Coloretti, who will continue to work with the business. 

“While Richard has made the decision to step back from his role as CEO, he’ll continue to take an active role in supporting the Edgewise Executive and managing a number of his key client relationships,” the firm said.
