WA broker EBM has promoted Ward Dedman to CEO. He was previously MD Group Operations, according to his LinkedIn profile.

His promotion, which also includes the title Executive Director, comes as founder and partner Alan Bishop steps down from day-to-day operations.

Mr Bishop remains as Executive Chairman to provide strategic oversight.

“This is a significant, important and historical promotion, with [Mr Dedman] becoming EBM’s first CEO,” Mr Bishop said.

“[His] primary role will be to oversee the strategic direction of EBM. He will be supported by our dedicated team of brokers and administrators and, of course, by me.”

Peter McLachlan has taken the newly created role of EGM Strategy and Operations. He was most recently QBE’s regional manager for WA, SA and the NT.

Ryan Cameron has been promoted to MD for Broking, a new position. He was previously EGM. Ashton George has also been promoted, to Regional Director WA.
