Dual creates innovation team
Underwriting agency Dual Australia has created a product innovation and development team to continue its push into new product lines and to identify opportunities to grow new and existing markets.
The new team is in line with the local growth strategy for Dual laid out by David Howden, CEO of Dual’s parent company Hyperion, in an exclusive interview with Insurance News (the magazine) which will appear in the August/September edition.
Mr Howden says Dual Australia is looking to grow by expanding its market locally through the introduction of new products to attract new customers, as well as through innovation in both product design and distribution.
The new team will be overseen from Melbourne by Clinton Evans, Dual’s former GM, Product and Underwriting, who has been promoted to the new role of GM, Underwriting and Operations.
Rob Collyer – who has been appointed to the new role of Head of Product Innovation and Development, from his former post as State Manager, NSW – will report to Mr Evans.
Dual has recruited former Zurich Senior Underwriter Financial Lines Mathew Korff to become its new NSW State Manager.
Peter Bailey, Dual’s Australia MD and COO Asia-Pacific, says the new team is essential to enhance Dual’s distribution and product development capabilities to continue to drive its growth.
“As Dual Australia has become an increasingly significant hub for our expansion plans in the Asia-Pacific region, we are very excited about establishing a dedicated product innovation team to drive further growth in the region.”
