Dexta to market medical liability insurance
Underwriting agency Dexta has boosted its medical liability insurance by entering into an agreement with Catlin Australia.
Catlin will provide the security behind the Stardex subsidiary's medical liability products using Lloyd's Syndicate 2003. Initial target markets are private hospitals, nursing home groups, day surgeries and specialist clinics.
Dexta MD Tony Wheatley says there has been high demand from brokers for an Australian-serviced product and this agreement will allow them to meet the market's needs.
The policy provides limits of up to $20 million for medical liability with an optional general liability risk extension.
