Luc Derix has been confirmed as CIO of specialist insurance and services provider Allianz Global Assistance.

He will manage the delivery of IT and telephony (IT&T) services for the growing Australian and New Zealand business.

Mr Derix joined the company in 2009 and has been acting CIO for the past six months.

He says the key challenge of the role is “to balance the improvement of business platforms and effective use of resources without compromising customer service”.

“I see the challenges of our business as opportunities to take our IT&T infrastructure to the next level over the coming year,” he added.

“I will also be focusing on a new asset management process and rolling out Allianz Global Assistance global IT initiatives that will further improve our capabilities.”
