CyberCX expands IT security business to New Zealand

Australian digital security firm CyberCX has launched a New Zealand operation, investing more than $NZ30 million ($27.4 million) initially to have a crack at the country’s $NZ600 million ($548 million) cyber security market.

CEO John Paitaridis says the company will have a dedicated security operations centre and offices in Wellington and Auckland to serve commercial and government clients. An office in Christchurch will be opened at a later date.

The business will offer a full suite of cyber security services to protect clients from cyber threats. It also will provide other related services such as governance, risk and compliance and incident response.

“New Zealand is a natural market focus for CyberCX,” Mr Paitaridis said.

“With the exponential growth in the number of cyber attacks on Australian and New Zealand businesses and government agencies, and the aggressive tactics we are seeing from threat actors, we need to significantly bolster our trans-Tasman cyber capability to secure our companies and sovereign interests.”
