Darryl Cowan is the new CEO of Cunningham Lindsey New Zealand, replacing Martyn Norrie, who retired last week.

Mr Cowan joined the company in 1981 was appointed COO in March 2011. He has specialised in the adjustment of business interruption, fidelity guarantee and other financial losses.

Mr Norrie has left Cunningham Lindsey after 43 years with the company and its predecessors, since becoming a trainee loss adjuster aged 20. He will remain Chairman of Cunningham Lindsey New Zealand.

He has recently consulted to the company’s businesses in Spain, South Africa and India and told insuranceNEWS.com.au he will continue with consultancy work.

Mr Norrie also teaches an undergraduate course on leadership and building effective teams at Carey Baptist College, a theological college in Auckland, and says he plans to do more work in the non-profit sector.
