Zurich Australia COO General Insurance Shaun Feely is leaving the company on July 3.

A short statement from Zurich says he is departing to pursue opportunities outside the company.

Mr Feely joined the insurer in 2010 from Suncorp. 

He took a career break from mid-2012 to travel with his family in southeast Asia and do community and charity work, but returned last April to take up the COO position.
