Construction has started on a new Suncorp Brisbane headquarters which will bring together employees from three locations in the city.

The 31-floor building at 80 Ann Street is due for completion in 2022.

The project is adjacent to the historic Brisbane Fruit and Produce Exchange on Turbot Street that Mirvac is also revitalising.

The Brisbane development follows similar office moves in Sydney, Auckland and Melbourne, where Suncorp has brought teams into single collaborative workspaces.

Suncorp has agreed to a 10-year lease with Mirvac. The company has committed to over 40,000 square metres of space, equating to about 66% of the total net lettable area, with co-working space flexibility allowing for future requirements.

The new headquarters will bring together people from premises at 123 Albert Street, Brisbane Square and Central Plaza One.
