French trade credit insurer Coface has named Hugh Burke as Chief Commercial Officer for the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia, effective from October.

He takes over from Thomas Yong and will be based in Hong Kong. He will report to incoming Asia-Pacific CEO Bhupesh Gupta, who starts next month.

Mr Burke was previously Aon Asia trade credit head.

“He has strong relationships within the global trade credit insurance industry and specialises in structuring and implementing trade credit solutions for both financial institutions and companies across all business segments,” Coface says.

“His experience will be a great addition to the team as we drive the development of Coface throughout the Asia-Pacific region.”
