Hugh Burke has been appointed CEO of the Asia-Pacific region at Coface, taking over from Bhupesh Gupta who vacates the role after six years.

Hong Kong-based Mr Burke has been Coface Chief Commercial Officer since 2016. He formerly spent 18 years at Aon, where he headed the trade credit business in Asia.

"His valuable expertise in client service and business development will be a strong asset to lead the region in the coming years,” Coface said.

Mr Burke reports to CEO Xavier Durand.
