Club Marine goes dolphin-friendly
Club Marine is adding a touch of green – or possibly ocean blue – to its balance sheet. The Allianz subsidiary has agreed to support a range of environmental initiatives being implemented by the volunteer Coastcare network.
The pleasurecraft insurer will have a direct financial role in five projects ranging from dolphin research in Victoria to prevention of “ghost nets” in North Queensland.
CEO Mark Bradley says the company will offer both cash and in-kind support. “We’re supporting Coastcare financially and we’re also providing insurance cover for the boats that are involved in the projects,” he said.
