Clark quits IBNA chair
Insurance Brokers Network of Australia (IBNA) Chairman John Clark has resigned from the board of the cluster group due to ill health.
In a note to members he says his resignation “will allow the board to conduct its activities without having to accommodate my situation. This will also allow me to focus on my recovery.”
Mr Clark’s resignation comes a few weeks after IBNA announced it is considering an approach from Austbrokers that would involve the two organisations working together in a loose relationship.
IBNA has also recruited four new members. NSW-based brokers Dennis Foster Insurance Brokers and Tucker McNeil have joined the group, along with WA-based brokerage AMA Insurance. Centro Insurance Brokers – which has been an IBNA member for some time – has a new holding company that has also applied for membership of the group.
