Chubb strengthens cyber incident response program
Chubb cyber policyholders in more than 50 countries will have access to round-the-clock assistance as the insurer beefs up its incident response management capabilities.
The assistance is available to policyholders in Australia, a Chubb spokesman told insuranceNEWS.com.au.
Chubb’s expanded network of incident response management firms now includes services across Europe, North and South America, the Asia Pacific and Africa.
The bigger network also means faster response times as managers who are assigned based on the location of the incident reach out directly to policyholders after a cyber attack incident is reported.
Chubb has also announced the launch of a mobile application and dedicated website for policyholders to use the service if they need to report an incident.
“The ability to respond rapidly to a cyber incident is critical to minimise any potential impact to a business which has suffered a breach,” Technology Industry Practice Leader Tim Stapleton said.
“Delays can exacerbate damage and create further issues in terms of business continuity and also cause problems from a reputational perspective.”
