Chubb reveals new leadership line-up

Chubb has announced the key management positions that will take effect when Chubb and Ace begin operations as one entity in April.

Country President Australia and New Zealand John French says he is pleased with the “dynamic” and “high-calibre” team.

“The integration process is progressing well, with the new management structure expected to commence on April 1,” he said.

The following roles have been announced:

  • Perry O’Leary, currently Ace’s Head of Distribution and Client Management, will be Global Broking Unit (GBU) Manager NSW and Strategic Distribution Adviser
  • Jon Longmore, Chubb Commercial Insurance Unit Manager NSW, will be Independent Broker Unit (IBU) Manager NSW
  • Paul Martin, Ace State Manager Queensland, will be GBU Manager Queensland
  • Pat O’Neill, Chubb Brisbane Branch Manager, will be IBU Manager Queensland
  • Robert Pearson, Chubb Melbourne Independent Broker Team Manager will be IBU Manager, Victoria
  • GBU Manager Victoria is yet to be confirmed
  • Anthony Prindiville, Ace State Manager WA, will be GBU Manager WA
  • Stephen De Gruchy, Chubb Perth Branch Manager, will be IBU Manager WA
  • Liam Burrell, Ace State Manager SA, will be IBU and GBU Manager SA
  • Yiota Zammit, Chubb Alternative Distribution Manager, will be Alternate Distribution Manager
  • Demetra Day, Ace Chief Underwriting Officer and Financial Institutions Manager Asia-Pacific, will be Financial Lines Manager including directors’ and officers’ liability, employment practice liability, crime, cyber, professional indemnity and financial institutions
  • Alison Percival, Chubb Asia-Pacific Zone Professional Lines Product Manager, will be FI, D&O, Crime Product Head
  • Andrew Taylor, Chubb Asia-Pacific Zone Professional Lines Product Manager, will be Management Liability and Cyber Product Head
  • Joleene Samson, Chubb National Business Solutions Manager and Southern Region Practice Leader, will be Financial Lines Southern Region Manager
  • David Gibbs, Ace Deputy Property Manager, will be Property Manager
  • Michael Badger, Ace Property Manager, will be Deputy Property Manager, reporting to David Gibbs and responsible for Chubb’s leadership position on large and complex accounts
  • Michael Peacock, Ace Energy and Power Generation Manager, will be Energy Manager, including cogeneration, combined cycle, distribution, hydro power plant, large utilities/thermal, other, program, pure boiler and machinery and renewable energy. He will also look after chemical, liquefied natural gas, offshore, other onshore, petrochemical, refining and storage/pipelines
  • Stephen Pollard, Ace Construction Manager, will be Construction Manager, including erection all risks and construction all risks insurance for contractor-controlled and principal-controlled programs
  • Stuart Kerr, Ace Head of Casualty, will be Casualty Manager
  • Josh Jenkins, Ace Deputy Casualty Manager, will be Deputy Casualty Manager
  • Cristin Sullivan, Ace Environmental Risk Underwriter, will be Environmental Risk Manager, including all premises pollution liability, contractors’ pollution liability and TankSafe storage liability
  • Travis McIntosh, Chubb Life Sciences Specialist Asia-Pacific, will be Custom Products Manager, including technology, entertainment and clean tech products, and will retain responsibility for life sciences across Asia-Pacific
  • John Leafe, Chubb Regional Executive Underwriter, Chubb Inland Marine, will be Inland Marine Manager, including mobile plant and equipment and inland transit risks
  • Richard Grant, Chubb Ocean Marine Practice Leader, will be Marine Manager, including cargo, hull and marine liability business
  • Rachelle Lanham, Ace Surety Manager, will be Surety Manager
  • Chris Newing, Ace Travel and Consumer Manager, will be Consumer Manager, including direct marketing and leisure travel business
  • Matt Bouzaid, Ace National Accident and Health Distribution Manager, will be Accident and Health Underwriting Manager, including underwriting the brokerage, leisure travel and direct marketing portfolios
  • Rod Frichot, Ace Victoria and Tasmania Accident and Health Manager, will be Accident and Health Southern Region Manager
  • Bob Algie, Ace Consumer Product Manager will be Managing General Agent and Specialty Personal Lines Product Manager and Personal Lines Strategy Manager
  • Michelle O’Dowd, Chubb National Property Product Manager, will be High Net Worth Product Manager and Personal Lines Manager, Northern Region, including the legacy Chubb high-net-worth Masterpiece product
  • Joanne Casha, Chubb Southern Region Practice Leader, will be Personal Lines Manager, Southern Region.
