CGU to replay rap competition

CGU has confirmed it will continue its rap song competition next year alongside a new version of its popular advertising campaign.

Hayden Bevis collected $20,000 for his win in this year’s CGU competition with a rap song entitled Gary the Bricklayer, which will feature in next year’s campaign.

The competition encouraged Australians to mimic the insurer’s rap-style ads screened on national television, featuring characters Susan the providore and Bill the alpaca farmer. The company received more than 170 entries, which were shown through the CGU website.

CGU Senior Manager Brand Strategy Alan Keyse told insuranceNEWS.com.au the ads “enable us to continue to engage with current and potential customers to promote the CGU brand”.
