CFC acquires Queensland cyber security firm
CFC Underwriting has extended its cyber incident response team with the acquisition of Gold Coast-based Insane Technologies as it works towards 24/7 “follow the sun” cyber incident service for its customers across 65 countries.
London-based CFC, which has managed more than 2000 cyber claims in the past year, says Insane is one of the most experienced cyber security and incident response providers in the market.
“We’re excited to bring their team of deeply-skilled technical experts in-house to help strengthen our proposition,” CEO Dave Walsh says.
CFC acquired Texas-based incident response provider Solis Security in 2019 and insurtech ThreatInformer last year.
It recently introduced Connect, its self-service trading platform for cyber insurance, to the Australian market, and released the latest version of its cyber incident response app, providing real-time threat intelligence alerts, on-demand access to CFC’s incident response team and the ability to instantly notify a claim or cyber incident.
“CFC is one of the only cyber insurance providers in the market who are leading the way in incident response, threat intelligence and risk management,” Insane MD David Rudduck said.
