Cerno chief Johnson steps down
Cerno CEO Greg Johnson has left the loss adjuster “to pursue other career opportunities”.
Chief Adjusting Officer Tony Button has been appointed MD, and Mr Johnson will stay on while the leadership handover is completed.
Chairman Bob Buckley says Mr Button brings years of loss adjusting and management experience.
“Our sights are firmly set on the future as we work with our partner, Stream Group Australia, to introduce a range of new products,” Mr Buckley said. “But it is also important not to forget our core skills, and Tony is ideal to lead Cerno during this new development phase.”
Cerno says it has agreed “joint management of certain processes” with Stream.
Stream Group MD and Cerno director Don McKenzie will join the Cerno management team “to assist in the development of the new operating model”.
In June, insuranceNEWS.com.au reported that Cerno was making two dozen staff redundant after the tie-up with claims solutions provider Stream, launched in April.
