Cerno acquires building firm
Major loss adjuster Cerno (formerly MYI Freemans) is expanding its core operations to include construction following the purchase of building consultancy firm Censeo.
The building company offers specialist services to the insurance industry providing expert advice on all construction matters.
Cerno CEO Greg Johnson says this is a great opportunity for building consultants and loss adjusters to strengthen relationships, which will result in faster turnarounds and a streamlined claims-handling process.
“The acquisition is the next logical step in addressing the needs of customers in a rapidly changing claims environment where specialist building skills are expected and essential to achieve cost-effective outcomes,” Cerno GM Strategy and Marketing Ian Simpson said.
