CEO Watters to step down at Allianz NZ

Allianz NZ CEO Bruce Watters will retire at the end of this year after three decades in the insurance industry.

Mr Watters joined Allianz in 2008 and led the New Zealand business through the aftermath of the Christchurch earthquakes. More recently he drove its transition from a subsidiary to a branch operation of Allianz Australia.

“His experience and thoughtful approach has been evident throughout his time with Allianz,” Chief GM Sales & Distribution Jonathan Poole said.

Mr Watters began his career in 1982 with AIG in Auckland. He worked in the US, Singapore and Australia, where he became regional CEO.
