Centrepoint helps charities through fee donations
Premium funder Centrepoint Alliance will make donations to two aligned charities in a program linked to application fees.
For every online application funded through Centrepoint from last Thursday to January 31, the company will donate $10 of the fee.
The company has partnered with Mater Foundation, which provides financial assistance to patients and families in need.
Donations from applications made by PSC brokers and authorised representatives will go to the PSC Foundation, to support charitable and community endeavours nationwide.
“We wanted to find a way that we could help make a substantial difference to worthy causes in our community,” Centrepoint Alliance CEO Premium Funding Bob Dodd said.
“By linking the donations to funding contracts, this enables us to offer an uncapped donation amount. We believe this is the first arrangement of this type in the industry.”
Based on current projections, the donated amount should be “tens of thousands of dollars”, the company says.
Mater Foundation CEO Nigel Harris says the group is committed to funding world-class research and providing a range of healthcare services.
