Suzanne Tindal has been appointed COO of CBL Insurance, effective from February 1.

Ms Tindal has been CFO of Auckland Council for almost three years, overseeing more than $NZ43 billion ($38.82 billion) in assets.

She is also a director of New Zealand global logistics company Mainfreight and has experience in operations, finance, treasury, debt and capital markets in insurance and banking and in the public sector.

CBL MD Peter Harris says Ms Tindal’s role will be operational but her finance and governance background will add depth and strength.

CBL is also seeking a replacement for CFO Carden Mulholland, who departs at the end of April.
